SnapNote

Delete Your Data

Last updated: 14 July 2026

This page explains how to delete your SnapNote account and any data you have backed up, what gets removed, and what is retained. It applies to the SnapNote app published by Ylen Solutions AB (Org.nr 559569-4380).

Delete from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open SnapNote and tap your profile avatar at the top of the Home screen.
  2. Go to Settings → Danger zone.
  3. Choose the action you want, then tap again to confirm:
    • Delete account — permanently deletes your account, everything backed up to the cloud, and all notes on this device, then signs you out. Use this to remove everything.
    • Delete data — erases every note, chat, folder, and tag on this device (and your backed-up copy, if you are signed in) while keeping your account.

Both actions are immediate and cannot be undone.

If you can’t access the app

Send us a deletion request from the email address associated with your account. We’ll verify it and delete your account and backed-up data, and we aim to complete requests within 30 days. You can also email privacy@ylensolutions.com directly.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account (in the app or by email request), we permanently remove:

What stays on your device

SnapNote is local-first, so notes you never backed up live only on your device. They are not affected by an account deletion. To remove them, delete them in the app or uninstall SnapNote, which removes all local app data.

What is retained, and for how long

We do not keep your notes after deletion. Anonymous diagnostic events (crash and, if you opted in, usage analytics) are never linked to your account and are automatically deleted after 90 days. We may retain minimal records where required by law (for example, to document that a deletion request was fulfilled).
